A beautiful villa with 2 buildings - the main house on 2 floors with a comfortable living area downstairs including kitchen and a toilet and 2 double rooms upstairs ensuite. The second smaller building has 2 double rooms with a shared bathroom and a living area with kitchenette. Both buildings are equipped with air con. Classic style furnishings with some very attractive artwork. Outside is a covered area with a built in bbq and large table and chairs for eating outside. The owner takes care to make the garden look nice with plenty of plants. The swimming pool is lovely around 10m long and 3m wide so long enough to swim a decent lap. It was clean and well maintained. There are lots of sunbeds and a gazebo/pergola if you need shade. There is a box containing inflatables including a volleyball net for fun in the pool. The owner greeted us and we were treated to a bottle of wine and cookies which was very welcome. The area around the villa is quite rustic but quiet with only an occasional local dog barking. As the airport is only a kilometre away you do hear planes overhead but this doesn't really cause a disturbance. The nearest shop is a 5 minute walk and stocks all basic necessities but is very expensive. There is a Lidl a 15 minute drive away where you can stock up more economically. By the shop there is a restaurant called Domestico which has a good menu and is very affordable. Cavtat is a 15 minute drive away and offers lots of restaurants, shops, beaches and some excellent gelaterie. Especially 'Rozata'. Restaurants here are more expensive but the town is lovely and you can do a circular walk all around which offers some beautiful views. Parking is available but a bit of a squeeze at times and costs €3 an hour. You can pick up lots of boat trips from here. Dubrovnik is about a 30 minute drive but also accessible by boat or bus.
