Room is great,comfortable, great having hotel on site for meals and can have a drink,with out the worry of drink driving.Not far from the local shops.What more could you ask for.

We always stay at the Redwood when we drive to Christchurch. It is on the way in to the city, but not right in it. I appreciated the free water, as we had been on the road for 11 hours. I was thrilled when we were stranded in Tekapo that they transferred our booking to the next night so easily and professionally. I was contacted with a lock box number as we didn't get in till late, and the heater had been turned on so our room was lovely and warm.

Beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Was not too far from the city with a rental car. Kitchenette was a little small but there is a common kitchen that we had access to so that was not a problem. Heaters in rooms, lovely and warm.
