The owner was so lovely. She upgraded our room to a spa room. The location is fantastic, literally across the road from Riccarton mall. Wasn't noisy either. I would definitely book again.

Check-in was very quick and easy. The unit I had (No. 24) was a standard motel room, had a comfortable bed but I was a bit cold in the night and would have liked an extra blanket. There was plenty of hot water for a shower and the shower had fantastic water pressure. I understood there would be a small bottle of milk in the fridge but there wasn't one. Kauri Motel is just across the road from shops so I walked across and got milk. On site parking was handy and easy to use. It was a utilitarian experience staying at Kauri Motel. There was nothing that gave me a sense of emotional connection with the property.
