Our stay was decent, but there are areas that need improvement to justify the price. Upon check-in, we encountered an issue where we were charged differently than what was stated in our reservation. The booking clearly mentioned that all taxes were included, but this wasn’t honored, which was surprising since other hotels we stayed at in Uzbekistan over the past 10 days had no such issue. The Wi-Fi was another letdown. It didn’t work at all on the first day, and on the second day, it was so weak that even streaming Netflix was impossible. To make matters worse, the phone signal in the area is unreliable due to the surrounding mountains, leaving us with limited connectivity. The room itself was nicely designed, but there were some maintenance issues. The living room lamp was hanging precariously, and water leaked through the roof throughout our stay, creating a constant dripping sound at night. Unfortunately, this also soaked some of my belongings on the table. While the room had a coffee machine, the cable didn’t match the electrical outlet initially, though this was resolved by staff. Breakfast was enjoyable on the first day when the hotel was fully booked for a public holiday and included fresh omelets. However, on day two, with fewer guests, certain items like omelets were no longer offered, which felt inconsistent. Overall, while the stay had its positives—such as a good breakfast and nice room design—the quality didn’t quite match the price compared to other hotels in Uzbekistan. With some improvements to service and maintenance, this could be a much better experience.

I liked the bungalow we stayed in. It is separate from the main hotel building, which allows you to escape the unnecessary people. I also liked the pools and saunas, even though everything looks very tired, it still serves its purpose.
