Location is great for Karu and Hemis monastery. The lady who owns it was terrific. I had some altitude sickness and she made me a tea to help, that she makes for her daughters. She was concerned I was not eating and offered me many options. When I went to the monastery and wasn't sure about getting back, she gave me her number to call if I needed her to send a taxi for me. The village is walking distance and pleasant for a wander about.

Just the perfect place! Very good location nearby many shops and restaurants and just 10 minutes by car from Hemis Monastery. We stayed in a cottage: very basic but clean and with hot water and a nice porch to enjoy the view! Staff is amazing and very kind: the owner gave us some precious advice about how to visit the monastery during the festival and everything turned out to be very useful. Great food!

Sweet little cabins on the river. Hosts were lovely and made us delicious breakfast and dinner. Location is beautiful and we would love to stay again ! Thank you for having us
