Warm welcome from the 2 staff members when we arrived. shown to our room and on request provided with more bottled water, fresh milk, and good tea bags to make afternoon tea. Room large with wonderful views over the countryside. The bed very comfortable. slight lack of furniture - found a suitcase carrier in the cupboard - should be out to use immediately, no dressing table which would be useful. Bathroom large and spacious. Dinner was excellent - lovely table in the window - service by Elouise was friendly and very efficient, the food delicious. Good choice of non alcholic drinks (beers) which we appreciated.

Great location, large airy room & bathroom. Great sleep in comfortable bed. Good selection at breakfast. With staff being very helpful and friendly. Evening menu needs to be simpler and of better quality and better prepared.

Staff were helpful,attentive and tolerant of our two small dogs. When we discovered a leaking pipe in our room the problem was dealt with promptly and sympathetically

Warm welcome on arrival. Lovely ground floor room, very clean. Nice big bed. Windows which opened which isn't always an option but is always nice if a space is warmer than you'd like. Lovely dinner, lots of veggie / vegan options. Our dogs were also made to feel very welcome which was lovely. Set in a beautiful location in West Berks, nice gardens too.

Great location. Stayed in feature signature room after visit to Newbury races. Lovely spacious room with large bathroom, large comfortable bed and great views across the surrounding country side. Food was good and dining area again very spacious with tables not being crowded together as is often the case. Staff very attentive, friendly and polite. Although not used on our visit the outside area looked nice. Would definitely revisit.

Good breakfast, the fact that we could stay out late and still get to our room when the pub was closed. We attended a wedding evening and were out til 12.
