Homestay Chiangrai was a tranquil oasis after a long journey, with a very warm welcome and delicious dinner provided by Phaety and her staff. The garden is lush and pretty, with a lovely pool to relax in and gorgeous cats to admire. The 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious and comfortable for a family of 4 - and far bigger than the pictures portray. We all slept soundly on comfy beds for our 3 night stay and the two bathrooms (like the rest of the property) were immaculately clean. The breakfasts were tasty and filling and, with a local car rental delivered to the property, we were able to explore Chiang Rai city and further into the province with ease. We loved our stay and didn’t want to leave! Thank you to Phaety & all who work at the Homestay. Very highly recommended.

The view from the top room is exceptional. Perfect spot to watch sunset. A beautiful home and garden. The food cooked by the owner is absolutely delicious, although rather expensive.

My experience at Homestay Chiang Rai was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that made me feel instantly at home. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of my stay was comfortable and memorable. The homestay itself is nestled in a peaceful and scenic area, surrounded by lush greenery and a tranquil atmosphere. It’s the perfect escape from the busy city and offers a truly authentic Thai experience. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed. What truly sets this place apart is the personal touch. The hosts not only provided fantastic local tips and helped arrange transport and tours, but they also treated me like family. I even had the chance to share a delicious homemade meal with them—one of the best I had during my trip! Waking up to the sounds of nature, enjoying breakfast on the veranda, and watching the sunset over the rice fields—these are moments I’ll never forget. Whether you're a solo traveler, a couple, or a family, Homestay Chiang Rai offers something special: peace, authenticity, and heartfelt hospitality. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you're visiting Chiang Rai, do yourself a favor and stay here—you’ll leave with beautiful memories and a longing to return.

The bed was very good, and the bathroom, although quite basic, worked well. The reception area was also the restaurant area, functional and reasonably comfortable, good for meeting other travellers. The hotel is located 15-20 mins from the centre of Chang Rai, just off a main highway. Overall the area is fine for visiting sites outside the centre. The main host is very kind and friendly, she's available to serve breakfast as well as dinner, which is a good as there are not too many options in the area. The meals we had were pretty good.
