Please note that due to limited table numbers at The Black Knight restaurant we kindly ask that you book a table as early as possible.Lumley castle courtyard classic rooms are the only room type that are pet friendly within the hotel as we only have limited availability for pet friendly rooms please check with reservations first before booking. Our pet friendly rooms are 2 single rooms and 2 courtyard classics.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

All the food we had was very good,well cooked and presented

Reception excellent - David , Room no 25 - very nice room . Food - evening meals excellent .Staff very helpful . Breakfast - very very poor - most items cold - tea stewed , bacon overcooked and cold ( hard) - sausage tiny and undercooked . egg , beans mushoom black pudding all COLD , Criossant rock hard . Only item i enjoyed was the greek yogurt and honey . Staff grumpy welcome . Complained and breakfast to be refunded but it wasnt ! Not efficient .

The property is gorgeous and being a castle is really unusual. The grounds are beautiful. The staff are very good.

The setting is beautiful. The room was nice and clean although the TV had issues but the free WiFi worked very well so the TV was not an issue.
