Staying at Clouded Leo Inn in Sohra was an experience beyond words. A perfect blend of comfort, warmth, and unforgettable hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like long-lost friends by Yai, a truly exceptional host whose cool and easy-going nature instantly set the tone for our stay. The hotel is yet to be completed but don't judge a book by it's cover. The hotel itself is nestled amidst the mesmerizing landscapes of Cherrapunji, offering breathtaking views of the lush greenery and misty hills that make this region famous. Every corner of the property reflects thoughtful design and a commitment to ensuring guests feel at home. Our 3-night stay was nothing short of magical, and it wasn’t just because of the cozy accommodations or the incredible scenery—it was the people who made it truly special. Yai’s childhood friend, Mr. Bit, was our driver for the journey, and his kindness, humor, and deep knowledge of the area elevated our trip to another level. Together, Yai and Bit created an atmosphere where we felt more like family than guests. Exploring Sohra with their guidance made our adventure even more enriching, as they shared stories, local insights, and hidden gems we would have otherwise missed. If you're planning to visit Cherrapunji, Clouded Leo Inn is not just a place to stay—it’s a gateway to heartfelt connections, unforgettable memories, and the true essence of Khasi culture. Location was good, near enough to town centre yet a bit away. Breakfast was standard with no vegan options - bread and eggs. Rooms are good, with excellent balconies. The owner / landlord is locally well networked, and eager to help

The host was very friendly and warm. Unfortunately nothing was arranged even though it was Christmas eve and Christmas the next day.

Clean room, bathroom, hot water available. Wifi as well. Clean linen and bedding as well. Host was helpful. The inn is well made and a quiet place to stay in, ideal for couples. View from room is nice, as room has attached balcony. Main market is a bit far/ not walkable but its a quick drive.
