We loved everything about OXO. Location. Staff. Facilities. An amazing hotel! From arrival to checkout everything was amazing. The staff were so friendly and to mention a few names ...Nic, Annie, Pui, Nueng (Boy) and Green - all so accommodating - nothing was too much trouble. We had the best family holiday ever!! I had a medical issue, and the staff were very helpful and caring. Absolutely lovely stay. The pool is amazing, and the breakfast was delicious with lots of options.

I dislike giving a negative review but I could tell early on our hopes for this stay wouldn’t be met. I wrote this review on day 2 of an 11 day stay. I had stayed at this OZO two years ago; everything was clean, well organised and even had a slightly exclusive feel about it. We had a basic room at the back facing a construction site. But it was very nice and we had a great stay. Back then, the breakfast was of very good quality; the fruit was fresh & chilled. The egg station was clean & organised with almost no wait time even at peak hours. The other breakfast items all of good quality. On this stay we paid for 2 ‘Deluxe Pool King rooms’. Having stayed at the OZO in Penang, Malaysia in a similar room we had reasonable high hopes. On reviewing the room (4102) facilities here at Samui, although advertised there was no desk (there’s only a narrow shelf under the TV) and there is no sofa. There’s just one ‘easy’ chair & one hard plastic chair. We travel very light so we don’t carry much with us, even so the rooms are very small (understandable in less expensive rooms) but in a more expensive room there is only one quite small cupboard & strangely it’s in the shower room. There’s no drawer space in the ‘living area’ & only two small drawers, again in the shower room; literally no other space to place your clothes. The TV: As instructed on the TV home page, Netflix & YouTube failed to ‘cast’ once I’d paired my phone to the room. We called reception but no one was forthcoming that day but we did receive a phone call on day 3 of the stay; it wasn’t a big deal for us but it could be for some people who want to watch TV perhaps in poorer weather. On day two I managed to get YouTube (though not cast from my phone) but it was in a Chinese. Again, that didn’t bother me but it may frustrate some people.
