The house was very large. The surroundings are beautiful. The house was recently renovated and extremely clean. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to make wonderful meals. While it rained every day during our visit, we had very cosy evenings at the lodge, sitting in the large living room. Our host met us personally and explained all the details. The location is secluded and you need to drive 5-10 min to reach restaurants, groceries and bakeries. It was not a problem with a car. The lodge was about 20 min by car from each of Amboise and Blois, as well as many of the chateaux's of the area. The house is like the photos.

The owner very kindly came to meet us, even though we arrived later than anticipated. We were greeted with a warm welcome and a bottle of wine. We were shown around the property and the facilities, of which there are many. All our questions were answered and additional information provided. The property caters for all your needs and is spacious and comfortable. We experienced delightful weather during our visit, and the house was a cool escape during the hottest parts of the day. We wouldn’t hesitate to return, both to the house and the location. If you would like a tranquil and beautiful spot to relax during your holiday; look no further!
