“Grand old hotel with great style, great service and great food.”
12 Sep 2025
This is a genuinely grand hotel - a stunningly beautiful interior, very comfortable rooms, and attentive staff. Some quirky features too - I loved the old telephone booths in the lobby. Our room (deluxe king) was very large - a suite really. And the restaurant and bar are very good indeed.

“Stunning hotel”

The hotel is beautiful. The rooms in the Tower are lovely, better than the ones in the Mansion. The beds are very comfortable and the room quiet for a great night's sleep. John gave a fantastic tour!

“Great historic hotel”

Great character historic hotel; staff very helpful and rooms spacious and clean; good location near to Downtown; valet or self-park two minutes away.

“Superb”

Lovely hotel and would stay here again. Beautiful lobby. Reception good. Lobby bar very nice and efficient. I had nice big room with very nice fittings and 2 large queen beds. I parked across the road in EPB parking which was cheaper and easy to park and i felt safe and saw security doing patrols. Can highly recommend the incline railway and civil war park monument at the top with amazing views.
