We enjoyed staying at the Manoir De Ponsay. It was ideally located for visiting Puy due Foy which we did over 2 days. The views from the apartment room were lovely and the hosts were very friendly.

If you are looking for accommodation in this region then you must stay here for two reasons: (1) It is a wonderful place to stay - full of history and the facilities are fabulous. The welcome from the hosts was exceptional and breakfast was all home/locally produced and provided with such warmth. We really enjoyed the swimming pool, table tennis and the family room we had was palatial and so clean throughout. (2) The family have owned it for 380 years and it is becoming more and more difficult with higher costs, upkeep etc. It would be criminal if they had to sell up and leave so if there is a choice between staying at the Manoir du Ponsay or a facelss chain hotel then please choose here, you won't regret it.

The chateau has been in the same family since 1644, currently by the 12th generation. The property holds all the charm you’d expect, quintessential French in style! The owner French and his partner Romanian were super friendly and perfect hosts, they couldn’t do enough for us. Brit friendly, highly recommended.

Huge room in a family owned chateau. Good bathroom. Instant hot water. Very friendly and interesting host whose family have owned the house since the 17th century. Good choice of food and drinks. The food is excellent and is prepared elsewhere and heated on site. Safe car parking.

Laurent and his wife are fantastic hosts, which makes this an exceptional stay in a unique location. The bedroom was perfect with the most amazing breakfast in a stunning location in the chateau. A perfect location to visit Puy du Fou which is 30 minutes away. A gem of a find and we can't wait to return again.
