Issac was amazing - super helpful, lovely, easy to contact, and very efficient. There were a few issues when I arrived (no light and no kitchen use), but he got someone around to fix the light straight away, and the kitchen was up and running the next day. The highlight was the rooftop area, where the kitchen now is. It is a lovely space and breezy - a perfect place to people watch and someone to cool off during load shedding. The location is a 15-minute walk to the beach and there are lots of shops, food stalls, and supermarkets just outside the front door. There is a delicious coffee shop 1min walk away as well. The accommodation is basic, but it fits the purpose, and we enjoyed our stay!

The room and bathroom was clean. Room is not big, but it met my expectations considering the price I paid for the stay. I travelled alone and it was just me there for the first days when I arrived. The hosts however are super friendly so that made up for the lack of people, one of them even offered to show me around Nungwi - which I of course thankfully accepted! The kitchen was clean and well equiped, they have a very nice rooftop with view over the village and a pretty good sunset! The hostel is located on the main street, and as others have mentioned it can be a bit loud. Personally I don't have a problem with that, but if you require it to be silent then it can be an issue. Safety wise I walked alone up and down the main steet at night a couple of times (not too far) and didn't feel unsafe as there are lots of poeple and most of them are friendly - I would probably not walk alone around in the village at night. During the day I walked everywhere, sometimes alone, but didn't feel unsafe anywhere.

This place is super affordable, with all the equipment you need, shared kitchen with all the stuff, rooftop where you can easily do barbecue, village view included!
