Actually a nice house with a big kitchen, free tea and coffee the whole day. Breakfast itself is also not bad with toast, packed croissant, joghurts and even salami/cream cheese.

Considering the price-performance ratio, this hotel can be a solid choice, especially for travelers preparing to start a trekking or mountain route around Chamonix. I stayed here right before beginning my hike, and overall, my experience was positive. Before my stay, I contacted the hotel to ask if they could receive a parcel on my behalf, and they kindly agreed. They handled it without any issues, which made the pre-trek logistics much easier — definitely a big plus. However, there are a few areas where the hotel could improve: The bed was extremely squeaky. Every time I turned, it made a loud noise, so I tried not to move to avoid disturbing others. It may sound minor, but for anyone trying to rest properly, it matters a lot. The hotel should really fix this issue (either lubricate or replace the bed). The street leading to the hotel is very dark. Even walking with others felt uneasy. Two female guests I met downstairs were so scared they asked to walk up with me. Installing at least some basic lighting there would make a big difference for safety. Other than these points, I didn’t encounter any problems. Just a note: The hotel is not very close to the town center. You can reach it on foot, but make sure to walk via the main road, not the upper path — otherwise, you’ll end up walking through long, dark areas at night. Overall, it’s a clean, functional, and understanding establishment for its price range. With just a few small improvements (especially fixing the squeaky beds and adding some lighting), it could offer a much better guest experience.

Location was good, kitchen and communal spaces and coffee and breakfast was fine and available to help yourself to. Good place to meet people.
