The property is a lovely country house hotel, well kept and refurbished to good standard. The location is excellent for exploring the Dartmoor National Forest area.

Everything. It is in a beautiful spot on the edge of Dartmoor. There were masses of snowdrops in the pretty garden and a rookery by the river. It was dog friendly. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and fun too. I think they had been very well trained. The rooms were impeccably clean. The dinner we had for nine was really delicious. There was a good choice of food and the wine list was fine. It was a bit on the expensive side so I cannot afford to go there often but my wife said afterwards that it was the best hotel we have ever stayed in.
