Cetara (near Salerno) is a delightful Italian fishing village; after two days, the local inhabitants recognized us walking up the street and greeted as friends. Of the dozen restaurants, you must go to the SPADONE which has a brilliant chef whose sea-food risotto was cooked to perfection, with the rice exactly on that delicate boundary between al dente and creamy, and served under a mountain of mussels and clams that had been drawn from the waters of Cetara bay that morning. Another day at the SPADONE we had seared tuna steak on a bed of long beans, which was again cooked to perfection; I did think that it would be even better if served on a bed of peppered spinach. Tanya, the maitress de, was kind and friendly. There is a very helpful tourist office hidden behind a brown door at the top of the town square, where bus tickets can be purchased.

Cetara is a wonderful little village on the Amalfi coast with excellent, modestly priced restaurants and cafes, with a simple, traditional seaside Italian 'feel' and community spirit. We are so glad we did not stay at a larger town on the Amalfi coast. Hotel Cetara - Albergo Diffuso struck us a small family business, succeeding in offering a very friendly, but 'no frills' older style of hotel accomodation in the very heart of the village, just 5 minutes stroll down the main street past food stores, small but excellent restaurants, to Cetara wharf (serviced by frequent Amalfi ferry services), fishing boats and a pleasure yacht marina.

Cetara is a magical village. Very authentic and traditional. Brilliant location and much less touristy than other places on the Amalfi Coast. Would definitely love to go back there.

The property was in the town Centre we had a room with a large terrace overlooking the square ,we spent some time just watching the world go by , I fell in love with Cetara it’s got some wonderful restaurants and has easy access to the ferries and bus stop in the town itself, the beauty is it’s relatively quiet compared to the other towns on the coast but only a short distance away and had a advantage that at the end of a busy day the ferries carrying most of the tourists are going in the opposite direction towards Sorrento, Cetara is only three stops away from Amalfi in one direction and Salerno two stops away in the other

Luigi was a lovely host, most kind and helpful. Everything in the room was perfect, very comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was good . We would love to come back again one day and will definitely recommend to others.

Loved Cetara. To check in, find the office which is to the right of the small fountain in the middle of the road. Look for the name rather than the number. The rooms are spread out in different locations. The host was very friendly. The room is very close to all the town has to offer. Enjoy

Owner Luigi. Waited for us and showed everything, including parking. Amazing location. Coffee machine with good espresso - We drank a lot 🫣😉 View from the balcony. Dog friendly place ♥️

Wonderful host and great stay at a very clean and nice B&B. :) The location is perfect and everything is at a walking distance (restaurants, beaches, marina) but since the B&B is few steps away from the main alley with most restaurants, it is more peaceful. We stayed at La Nima -room (yellow) and had a very relaxing stay! Thank you Luigi!
