Probably one of the oddest experiences when staying in Italy. Firstly, the facilities were really nice. Nice clean room, good shower, a fantastic breakfast in the morning, served by a nice lady, and they even had a swimming pool at the back we were unaware of. However, despite turning up at exactly the time agreed. nobody was onsite and after messaging and phone calls someone arrived to let us in. Language issues between us didn't help, but we finally got into our room, which was a double and not two singles as requested. We were advised that the set up would be changed later on to two singles so we started to settle in to the room. At this point we realised that there were somebody else’s belongings already in the room; notably a tooth brush and toothpaste in the bathroom. Fortunately, the other guest didn’t come back before another person arrived to inform us that we had been checked into the wrong room, and we were reassigned to our twin bed room. We went out to find somewhere local to eat. But were unsuccessful, possibly due to it being a Monday, so we brought some food back to eat in the kitchen area. At this point we had a power cut, more messaging to the host, who turned up to reset something at the property, and power restored. Host’s were not very friendly on the three occasions we met them on arrival day, which was a shame as the property is very nice.

We were on business trip, we used a 2-person Dylan room and a large room Valentina. Generally, we only spent evenings and nights there because we participated Cosmoprof fair. The guesthouse is very intimate, approx. 1 hour to Bologna. A quiet, peaceful place a bit away from the highway but with good access (roads between fields but very well kept :) Nice service, not imposing. We got the keys to the house and the gate so there was no need to ask the owners for everything. There are only 3 guest rooms in the whole hotel, the rooms are upstairs and there is a kitchen downstairs. Italian-European style breakfast. Toasts with ham and cheese, boiled eggs, yoghurts, croissants, cereals and milk, different juices. Basically self-service, only coffee and tea are prepared by the owner.
