This is a little gem . Lovely original English pub. We had dinner there i had fish n chips my friend and mixed grill both were lovely and great value . Perfect for 1 night and ideal for our early start a sunrise at Mam Tor . The breakfast was delicious and all the staff we spoke too were lovely and helpful..

Fantastic spot in a beautiful part of the world. The guy we dealt with was Fantastic. We stayed in the "ladybower" room which was fantastic. Breakfast was good too.

Amazing location and comfortable rooms. Extra heaters provided were helpful especially in one of the rooms we had as the radiator wasn't working properly. Range of breakfast options and pot of coffee was great.

Lovely cosy pub. Good menu. Arrived a bit early so had a lovely fish finger sandwich wirh chips while we waited for room to be ready.. car park is a bonus in castleton. Entertainment to accompany our night cap when we returned after the event we attended at the nearby peak cavern. Good breakfast choices.

There was plenty to choose from on the breakfast menu. The room was clean and cosy if a little bit dated. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well.
