The location was fantastic with just short drives to reach Ladybower Reservoir, Stanage Edge, Edale as well as a direct route on foot from behind the cottage to Mam Tor. A stones throw from Castleton and Hope with Hathersage just a little further. On arrival, key collection was easy and the cottage has great facilities: comfy beds with plenty of bedding to feel warm, ample towels, relaxed sitting room with real fire and the kitchen has both oven and microwave and fridge and enough kitchenware for anyone who enjoys cooking at the end of the day like I do :) The property has a backdoor leading into a small courtyard garden overlooking Mam Tor - a lovely place to have a morning cuppa! Maeve was friendly and welcoming and offered great advice on walks and where to buy food locally

I was right in the heart of the Peak District walks with access to the ridge that leads to Mam Tour. The cottage was spacious with it's own garden and horses and sheep around. All necessary facilitiies were in place. Including dishwasher and washing machine in garage. The owner took every care that I had all I needed and there was good written advice. Altogether a very good experience.
