We found the hotel to be reasonably located and easy to find. It was about a 30 minutes walk to reach the castle. There are two onsite parking spaces, at the front of the hotel - both of which were available when we arrived. Otherwise, there is ample on-street parking close by. The day before our arrival, I received a message that provided our two room numbers, along with the access codes for the front door and the room doors. There was no staff member on site when we arrived, but there was someone there later in the day and also the following morning when we checked out. The staff member provided us with physical keys for the rooms, but we found the code access to be easier. Our daughter and grandsons twin room was an upgrade on the standard Twin Room that we had booked, and it was lovely. Very spacious with a sitting area and a large bathroom with walk-in shower. There's a large window between the bathroom and the sleeping area, but it comes with a pull down blind for privacy. Our Deluxe Double room was smaller in comparison but was comfortable nonetheless. Both rooms had a balcony with chairs, a small fridge and a microwave. And the beds were very comfortable. The air conditioning unit worked well on the heating cycle and the wifi worked well. There is no meal service at the hotel, but there was a welcome box that contained some breakfast items such as a muffin, croissant and juices. But we didn't use those items.

The location was perfect for us. Ten minutes walk away from the bus station, near a wonderful Indian restaurant, fifteen minutes from the civic centre. The room was spacious with a balcony and the bed very comfortable. The people there are very friendly and helpful. It was a very good price for two nights.

Small touches, great service! "I had a lovely stay at Hotel Boutique A Esplanada. Although they don’t serve a formal breakfast, they provide a very thoughtful alternative: after the daily cleaning, a basket is left in your room filled with fresh bread rolls, spreads, milk, juice, coffee, and tea. It’s a wonderful gesture that makes you feel very welcome. Excellent service and highly recommended!"
