Pulsford “Superb”

Great for one night in Castelnaudry, short walk to the canal and centre of town.
Collman “Quirky but endearing. Refeshingly différent - we will go back”

The hotel was slightly old fashioned but it, some how, had à particular charm whch we enjoyed. Too many modern hotels are characterless but this was pleasantly différent even the grumpy old concierge eventually endeered homself to us. The breakfast was excellent belng traditional and not catering for all Eurpean tastes . QUIRKY and yes we will go back !
geoff “reasonable hotel for a stop off en route to spain”

location useful - day staff better than night staff ..
Katherine “A bit of a letdown in the capital of cassoulet”

The man at the front desk of the hotel was very helpful. When I realized that the room we had been assigned did not have air conditioning and it was pretty hot that day, he offered us another room, albeit at an additional fee. The first room had a nice view of the canal. The second room did not have much of a view. The room was compact and tight for 2 people. It is an older looking building and the facilities were adequate albeit a little rustic. There was ample parking though the lot was not that well maintained with unkempt bushes around. The town is kind of sleepy and most of the restaurants were closed. We strolled along the Canal du Midi (one of the oldest canals in Europe that is still in operation) and stopped to admire the Grand Bassin. At least the history of the canal is interesting. We paid EUR 12 per person for the breakfast and it was not bad. There was a decent selection of sweet and savory items.
