Orchid Terrace is an exceptionally beautiful, comfortable, convenient, and well-located accommodation! I agree with all the positive reviews, because this place is truly ideal for those who want to experience the peaceful Portuguese vibe for a while. Everything is great here. It is located away from the road, but at the same time right next to a bus stop. You can easily park your car, but even without a car, you will have no problem getting around, because you can take a bus from the house to Sintra (€2.70 and 40 min.) or Cascais (€2.70 and 15 min.) Within walking distance, there is a market. Getting to the location from the airport is easy. Take the blue metro line from the airport and travel to Cais de Sodre station. After get the train. After get 1624 bus. The beach is 3 km from the property. The walking path starts behind the yard and is not exactly easy and comfortable, but it is ideal for walking and getting some exercise, strolling through the picturesque flowering hills and watching the waves from above. If you want comfort, take a taxi (5 euros and 5 minutes) and you will be at the beach where you can take exactly the photos of the ocean that you want. About the accommodation itself. Everything was clean and comfortable. It was absolutely peaceful and pleasant, just like at home. There were many household items to cook whatever you want. There are electric heaters to protect from the cold. Lamps. Coziness. Blankets. A dining table in the yard. Clean towels, nice soft bedding. For those traveling in winter, I recommend bringing not only a raincoat but also an umbrella. Although, near the supermarket, you will find a shop selling Chinese trinkets where you can buy all of this if necessary. Also, ask Frankelina about the premium pastéis de nata. She will direct you to a café owned by a gentleman who refuses to put a marker on Google Maps because he is convinced that truly valuable products are found through word of mouth. And that's wonderful!

Franquelina was a brilliant host! Our flight was delayed but it was no problem, Franquelina was there to help get us settled in. On new years eve, she stopped by with two glasses and a bottle of Champaign! She also left us bits for breakfast and fresh lemons from her tree! Beautiful, quiet location, about a 10 minute walk into a small town with a Spar and a few restaurants. While we had a car, there is quite literally a bus stop at the front of the house! Very accessible to Sintra and the coast!

The apartment is very clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The kitchen is excellently equipped — we cooked throughout the entire week, everything was at hand! There's also a great barbecue area outside. Amazing panoramic views of the coastline and surroundings. The main advantage is convenient parking right on the property, without needing to drive through narrow city streets. This is invaluable if you're traveling by car! The host Franquelina and her husband are absolutely wonderful! Responsive, friendly, always ready to help. They live one floor above and rent out two apartments below, so if you have a large group, you can rent both. Peaceful neighborhood, ideal for relaxation. Despite December and occasional rain, the apartment was very cozy — we even managed to use the terrace a few times! Bed linens, beds, and bathroom — everything is top-notch. Wi-Fi works perfectly. Complete absence of noise from neighbors — very quiet. Beach and restaurants within walking distance. An ideal base for exploring all the interesting places in Portugal by car.
