Cascais is lovely. The location is excellent; in the centre of Old Town so instant access to restaurants/shops and very close to 5 beaches, the marina and the parks. Easy walk to bus and train stations. Easy to pick up keys The little balcony is a bonus. Light,bright and airy.Great kitchen and bathroom facilities (hot power shower that is very easy to use!). The location was perfect. Close to all the amenities. All necessary items were available in the apartment. Including a fan ( no AC Very accommodating staff- let us check in early! So much appreciated.

Proximity to the beach, cafes, and restaurants. We managed to explore small and local establishments (the natural wine cafe is top notch as is the tastingroom just five minutes walk away). The market is worth visiting and the seafood restaurant there is just amazing. So all of these within walking distance. As for transportation options the train station is 7-10minutes walk and the buses to Colares (the regional wine co-op is worth visiting) and Sintra also within walking distance. The flat itself is cozy with a double bedroom and a semi-double sofa bed. There was a simple oil heater which was enough to keep us warm. The host is friendly and allowed us to stay longer on our final day. Communication was straightforward. The uber from Lisbon airport was €30. Drop off is three minute walk away as the flat is on pedestrianised street. Previous reviews talk about sound from the bars/restaurants below. The Friday night solo gig in the Mexican restaurant was pleasant and could be enjoyed from the balcony. The Saturday was a bit of dance but once we shut the windows it was all good (we were early to bed early risers as well). That said we came in the off season. Facilities were complete. Crockery and pots and pans. For tea drinkers do bring your own. There is a filter coffee machine, toaster, and microwave. We had a great stay that was value-for-money.

The apartment was on the first floor with a small balcony, washing machine, kitchen and 5 min walk to the beach. The location was very good during the day. The street is for pedestrians only so if coming by car, park underneath the Hotel Baia to unload bags and come up the stairs at the far end of the carpark and walk straight across, the apartment is just after the ice cream shop. The best 24 hr car park is Estacionamento Marachel Carmona which is a 10 min walk up the hill.
