Great location for what we wanted, minutes away from Warton Crag reserve, close to Silverdale, Arnside and Leighton Moss. Free car park at the back, home cooked evening meals available, English breakfast included, friendly owners and comfortable room, we will happily go back.

Very pleasant staff and made welcome. A human amswered the phone ... no menu system... no voicemail... very refreshing. Owners lovely and went aboth and beyond to make sure we were looked after.

Lovely village pub location and the home made steak and Stilton pie was absolutely delicious. The kitchen girl/waitress was a credit to the pub.

The owners are keeping everything spotless: the pub and the bedrooms were very clean. Our room was nicely furnished, the bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet during the night (looking out onto the garden). The cooked breakfast was good. I missed not having croissants or fruit. There were only cereals and toast to accompany the English breakfast. The bed was on the firm side, which I like. The water pressure in the shower was adequate, but not strong enough for the rain shower, which is installed. I took the shower head instead and it was fine.
