Comfortable place to stay. Good alternative when bunkhouses are fully booked - although a bit further to walk from Bowness, when walking Hadrian's Wall. Booking was easy online, and email responses were timely. Fairly close to a Sainsburys for provisions.

We were staying in Keswick with my parents. My dad suddenly had a major heart attack and was rushed to Carlisle hospital. I booked this for my mum and I in a hurry because it is only 1 mile from the hospital and a short walk for my mum who cannot drive. I have to say, this place was beyond exceptional for our needs. Elaine, her husband and Marie where all fabulous. We had a beautiful breakfast and a delicious cooked evening meal each night. Also a bar area and a quiz on Tuesday! The room was impeccably clean and comfortable and I cannot fault the facilities. Also has a private car park and a lovely garden with a pond and seating for guests to enjoy. I really would recommend this place to anybody. Wouldn't hesitate to return, hopefully under more positive circumstances. Thanks so much to all of you for looking after my Mum at a difficult time.
