Outstanding communication with Giorgio prior to arrival. Wonderfully warm welcome,(quite late in the evening, but food was waiting for us and nothing was too much trouble.) Every single member of the staff was quite outstanding; friendly, efficient, helpful at all times. Evening meals, home cooked, were delicious and served in a delightful courtyard setting. Breakfast was a very varied buffet with lots of healthy options, (along with plenty of self indulgent ones!) Check out was excellent for us; we had a late flight and nowhere really to go on our last day, but without question we were invited to leave our bags in a secure environment and spend most of the day by the pool. The pool itself was lovely, lots of loungers available and also very regularly cleaned and maintained. Our room was more than adequate, regularly and efficiently cleaned, air conditioned and with a safe for valuables. We chose a room overlooking the pool and with a lovely view over the countryside all the way to Mt Etna in the distance. It cost a tiny bit extra but was absolutely worth it.
