This property deserves a rating of 10 points for 1)The location and the amazing view. This part of the Brittany coast is very appealing and Carantec makes a good base to explore the area. A beach and the coastal path can be accessed from the bottom of the extremely large and well kept garden.One day I explored Carantec and one day I ventured to nearby Roscoff and took a cruise to the entrance to the Bay of Morlaix. 2)The very kind and welcoming proprietor was genuinely keen to be helpful, allowing me to do a load of washing and handwriting a comprehensive itinerary for me to visit the parish closes. Her husband drove me to the tourist office and I walked the scenic coastal route back.Her daughter welcomed me on my arrival. Parking was down a lane and private, being inside the property.(The gorgeous car in the photo taken to show parking is a rental!) Breakfast was very good. The standard of the accommodation itself (furnishings) is somewhat modest as accurately shown in the photographs on booking.com. I found the bed to be very firm. The spiral staircase was not a problem for me. My luggage was carry on size. The WiFi signal was so weak it was ineffectual. I used the data on my Orange France Holiday Sim and used my phone as a hotspot to provide WiFi to my tablet. I appreciated the locally made blue handsoap from Roscoff.I bought some in Carantec to bring home. There is no TV but the view is what I came for!
