Loved our stay at Mgoza, the staff were so friendly, attentive and helpful! The food is amazing and the room was clean and comfortable.

The staff and food at Mgoza Lodge stand out as well as the leafy, lakeside setting. The friendly, attentive and efficient team looked after us morning, noon and night and were helpful with local knowledge. The quality, variety and generous portions of meals on offer were a pleasant surprise and ranged from beef in a red wine jus, chicken tagine, Chinese stir‐fry, to fish cakes and a vanilla panacotta with banana in balsamic. Breakfasts were equally varied and the large plunger pot of coffee packed a punch. Our double room had a massive king size bed with adequate mattress and good (cold) water pressure. The swimming pool was clear and refreshing. The vibe is halfway between lodge and backpackers.

Lovely location on the shore of lake Malawi. Staff are very friendly and the setting is just beautiful. We were only there for the one night, yet found it to be peaceful and tranquil. The rooms are basic and some need a little bit of a refurbishment, though perfectly adequate for what we needed.
