Luana “Great for the beach and archeological site”

The B&B is a flat in a building in Paestum. The flat was converted into a reception area and three rooms. We stayed in room Netuno, having access to a large balcony as well. Everything is pretty new and clean, the bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and well kept, there was AC in the room and a table to have breakfast in. One of the hosts lives in a flat in that same building so they provide a fresh breakfast as well and have offered us an aperitif with wine and tasty snacks one of the nights. The host was really friendly and helpful and easy to reach via whatsapp. There is a large parking area that would fit all customers' cars as well as the folks that already live in that building. The beach is a 5-7 min walk from the B&B and it is one of the main attractions for staying in that area. The archeological site is 30 min walking or 5 min driving from the B&B. The town around the site is pretty lively and seem like it would be full of live during high summer. There are great bars and restaurants around there. This area is also has a lot of mozzarella di buffala production so you can get delicious cheese around. The neighbouring town Agropoli is a <20 min drive and has a lovely view of the coast around there. We visited just at the beginning of autumn hoping for fair weather to go to the beach but were met by the first cold days of the season - the archeological site and its museum didn't disappoint though but 2 nights without the beach is probably too long of a stay.

this accommodation is perfect for a relaxing holiday 5 minute walk from a wonderful sand beach! Paola and her family are amazing and caring hosts who can give you recommendations about day trips and nearby restaurants. The breakfast with fresh pastry was amazing, and we even were treated with an aperitivo once! The room itself is nicely renovated, clean and well maintained. Private parking on the premises is a huge advantage too.

We picked this place as we wanted to split our visit to Paestum archeological site over two 1/2 days. It was an easy short drive from/to the site and also the main area for dining. Don't be out off by the access (down an alleyway, off a fairly rough road and through a large electric gate - like you're entering a security compound - with large dogs in a pen), the accommodation was excellent with a large comfortable room, lovely ensuite and all scrupulously clean. The host lives on site and was very pleasant and helpful. The property is a few minutes walk from the beautiful beach but that's not why you come to Paestum. Breakfast was served in the communal kitchen area and we ate at the table in our room. I'm gluten free and we drove to the Pizzeria Positano for dinner. I had a fabulous Calzone and an Arancino (not seen a GF one anywhere else) that was delightful. Unfortunately the music was loud and horrid, so take out (where they were doing a roaring trade) might be the better option
