Marie Taxell “A gem of tranquility and calm in Sicily”

This resort is BEAUTIFUL and the calmness of the nature and friendliness of all staff - especially the owner Francesco - makes this place exceptional. Rooms are clean and comfortable with modern comforts alongside authentic Sicilian feel. We originally turned up to a rental nearby and was rudely told ’it’s closed’ and then left to our own devices. We booked Valata Minusa and turned up 10 mins later - met by Francesco in the car park and from there he immediately did everything to save our 2 week holiday. What was looking like a stressful day/scenario was instantly soothed away by his service and love of his hotel. We had 2 nights that felt like a holiday whilst sorting out a he accommodation for the rest of our stay. The owners and staff at Valata Minusa is a family run business at it’s best, friendly, happy and kind! Francesco is so knowledgeable about the area and he shares freely - we had dinner at a fantastic local restaurant and took all his advice on getting around Modica. The breakfast was lovely and light, the lunches offered were value for money and so delicious! Perfect place for families but also a gem for a bit off relaxing solitude in a peaceful part of Sicily. Easy to get to busy cities within 15-40mins, you do need a car. Again, we can’t thank everyone at Valata Minusa enough, you saved our holiday and we will definitely be back!

It’s a very well preserved boutique hotel with very very friendly staff. The premises are beautiful and the room very spacious.

The property is naturally and beautifully authentic. The location is also lovely as it’s in the highlands, beautiful nature and very wild.
