A quaint typical Sicilian accommodation, with a good restaurant and pizzeria at decent prices and lovely hosts. The kids enjoyed the small backyard with the swings

Corte dei Monaci is a short distance outside of Canicatti, quiet and peaceful. The rooms are comfortable and breakfast each morning is a treat, served by Vincenzo, the owner. The establishment is clearly renowned by local people for its restaurant, for at around 8pm every evening (except Mondays) it comes alive with diners. We ate there every night of our 9 day stay and were never disappointed.

Canicatti is a very rural location and our hosts seemed a little stunned to receive guests who spoke no Italian but we managed to communicate enough to have an enjoyable stay. The food in the very popular restaurant was good, and the breakfast included fresh bread and croissants - still warm. The room was serviced every day.
