What a wonderful hotelReal all ultra inclusive really excellent serviceits the 2ed time we have been there once in 2019 and once just this month.Both times for 5 nights 6 days.The Rooms are big, furniture though showing wear and tear a little but still excellent.By the way, world class Spa in every aspect too, my wife and I enjoyed a very good 80 minute massage there.

The Moon Palace resort is massive, spanning over 120 acres. It consists of three sections—Sunrise, Nizuc, and The Grand. If you book a stay at The Grand, you have access to the facilities across all three resorts. The dining experience is exceptional across all restaurants. We tried Indian, Mexican, Mediterranean, Italian, Pan-Asian, and the international buffet. While the Indian cuisine was somewhat disappointing, the rest were outstanding. A highlight was Momo Teppanyaki, where the chef prepares the meal right in front of you, making for a fantastic experience. The resort features multiple pools, all of which are excellent. We stayed in a swim-up suite, which was absolutely perfect—truly the best choice we could have made. Though the resort is expensive, it is completely worth it. The water park is decent but more suited for younger kids. Unfortunately, two slides were out of order, which was disappointing. Lastly, all the bars serve high-quality alcohol, adding to the overall luxurious experience.

What I Liked: Nature and Wildlife: Moon Palace does a fantastic job of preserving the natural surroundings. During our stay, we enjoyed seeing coatis, iguanas, geckos, alligators, and various other animals. It added an adventurous touch to the experience. The bouncy room was a highlight for us as a family—we had a lot of fun there, and it provided a great way to bond. Responsive Staff (Room Issue): When we complained about the smell and conditions in our initial room, the staff quickly moved us to a better building. This improved our experience significantly, and we appreciated their efforts to address the issue. Beautiful Grounds: The resort is visually stunning, with well-maintained greenery and plenty of picturesque spots to enjoy. Moon Palace Nizuc: While this review focuses on The Grand, it’s worth mentioning that we also stayed at Moon Palace Nizuc and had an absolutely wonderful time. Everything there was seamless, and we encountered none of the issues that plagued us at The Grand.

There was a huge focus on entertainment. There were so many things included that kept family highly entertained and engaged. There were numerous pools, so no one had to wake up at 6am to reserve sun beds, lots of activities for kids - massive kids club with waterpark, mini golf, bike rent, arcade, soft play zone (massive one!) etc. this is something we have never seen before and therefore really loved the place. Plus lots of different theme restaurants and always able to book those.
