This is my first stay at this hotel and it did not disappoint. From the driveway entrance and beautiful entrance walking into the reception area by the fireplace. A nice seat to sit and wind down in the warmth by the fire. We had a family room. Last minute decision to stay in Canberra but glad we did. The family room was interconnecting. Beds comfortable and clean. Bathroom with toiletries. Shower door that doesn’t leak. There was tea and coffee in the room and a coffee machine. A bar fridge (at cost). There are stairs to reach the floor but also has a lift. A restaurant which had a lovely breakfast. Dining area opens out to garden area. An outside car park which I was grateful for as driving a 4WD. It was a quiet area but easy enough to get over other side of lake to shops and for things to do. Staff were very pleasant.and helpful. The hotel has very interesting history. I hope to be back to stay again.
