The location was convenient to Gundaroo in particular but also to Canberra & a quiet peaceful setting.

We stayed at Eaglehawk for 2 nights. During the day we traveled around Canberra, sight-seeing and doing tourist stuff. At night we went back to Eaglehawk mainly for sleeping. When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff members and checked in promptly. I did get lost a little inside the venue but that was my own doing due to not reading the map properly. It was a blessing in disguise though, we did get to see what the whole place looked like. When we did find our accommodation we were very pleasantly surprised to see how clean the facility was. The carpet was spotless. The bedding were well folded and we had to make our own beds using the bedsheets provided (might be a bit hard for anyone with a bit of mobility issue though). The kids loved the TV. The kitchenette was simple but sufficient for what we need (to boil water to make tea). The bathroom was clean, although we did run out of soap/shampoo/condition (with 6 people that was bound to happen) - although I'm certain that we could have asked for more at reception. The area was quiet. The neighbours were fantastic, everyone was very respectful, there were no loud music or rowdy neighbours. Eaglehawk is situated only around 15 minutes drive into Canberra. Very well suited with our arrangements. Definitely will be back there again.
