Incredible and peaceful location. Absolute beauty. Communication with the staff via WhatsApp, nothing was a problem. The accommodation is beautiful and clean. I hope I’ll have the opportunity to return here again sometime.

The location is in a very secluded area, surrounded by forest, extremely peaceful and quiet. All facilities are available, including washing machine and tumble dryer in a shared space. Host is very responsive, providing support and solution to any issue. House offers a lot of space, rooms are big and beds are very comfortable.

We rented the Lemon Arbor cottage for 9 nights (the one that is fully up on top of the others) and we couldn't be more satisfied with the whole property. It is fully in the nature with no tourist overflows, but still very close to all busier places on the island. This is a perfect getaway for everybody who wants to get away from city noise and be fully immersed in the sounds of nature. Because of little to no light pollution, the sky every night was magical, with no less impressive sunrise. Location: The car is definitely needed to get here and we don't recommend renting this property if you don't want to rent a car. But the ride is very short from both airport and Funchal. The nearest city where you can get groceries is Camacha. Also, the drive to the property is not dangerous and the instructions from Lina are easy to follow. Just above the property, there is a sign for Levada which is suitable for a small afternoon stroll, or longer one if you decide to follow the levada all the way to the beginning (Serra do Faial Levada Trail - West). Description and amenities: The house has a huge open space area when you enter, where the kitchen, dining area and cosy fireplace sitting area are. Downstairs is also a twin-bed room, and a toilet, also suitable for disabled people. Upstairs is a big bedroom exiting to a terrace with two sunbeds. There are two sitting areas in front of the house, and a barbecue on the side. We had our own car park in front of the house. As for kitchen amenities, there is an induction cooktop, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, kettle, and two coffee machines (filter and Dolce Gusto). There is no oven, but we wouldn't use it anyways. A couple of more things were waiting for us in the kitchen: a basket with tea bags, sugar, a couple of coffee pods, a bottle of milk, salt, pepper and a couple of dishwasher tablets. We were also provided with shampoo and shower gel.
