We loved everything about our stay - the location is perfect for being close to cute little shops, cafes, restaurants, and incredible nature such as waterfalls, lochs and (mini)mountains! But the best thing was that we felt so at home at Highland House - it really felt like ‘coming home’ every evening, as Jan and Gordon have made such an effort to make it cosy and inviting, with everything you need for a comfortable and homely stay. Room was lovely, clean, comfy bed and fresh towels whenever we needed them. The rest of the house really feels like home and smells divinely clean everywhere. And the breakfasts… wow! Absolutely delicious! And great coffee always available (along with biscuits and sweets!) which was a lovely thoughtful touch. Our dog was made to feel so welcome and given love and treats every day. Jan & Gordon are just such lovely hosts and make their guests feel at ease whilst also giving guests all the space they need. We also met some of their gorgeous family (beautiful grandchildren!) who just filled the place with an extra layer of happiness! Would 100% recommend this place to anyone who appreciates homely stays with real, kind owners at the heart.

Excellent B&B, in the heart of Callander, room was perfect , ground floor room as partner has walking issues, walk in shower , tea ,coffee facilities, also has a coffee machine that you can use 24 /7, host was excellent, lovely friendly lady called Jan , nothing was to much trouble ., breakfast was very good , lovely, hearty breakfast .

Lovely couple made us feel very welcome. Very clean, superb choice at breakfast and tea and coffee 24 hours - nice surprise. Dogs made to feel very welcome also. Near town centre.

Very welcoming with nice touches such as the constant availabilty of nice coffee. Super breakfast. Excellent location in the centre of Callander. I always managed to get the car parked close to guest house. Nice places to eat nearby. Good walk/cycle paths accessible without using car.

Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Spacious and well-appointed room with modern and spotless bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. The quiet location was excellent off the Main Street and giving easy access to Callander shopping and dining. The location was also great for visiting Loch Lomond and The Trossachs national park, Doune, Lake Menteith and Stirling. Very highly recommend this property.

The hosts are welcoming and very helpful. We received good recommendations and guidance for planning our time at the Trossachs. Jan provided us with heaters and hot bottles for each room as we felt cold. Good breakfast with various choices.
