My host was amazing, came and picked us up form the ferry port for no extra charge. Great communication and the complimentary mangos a great touch. The accommodation is very charming and makes you feel like you have your own slice of paradise in the jungle. Rented a scooter from the property and explored all over the island. Our lovely host answered all of our questions and gave us good advice on places to see, also offered to arrange in house massages and day trips for us. Will deffintly be returning in the future :)

Publikaus certainly is a hidden gem in Samal Island. It's is located very central, a 5 min walk from the ferry terminal only, nonetheless very rural and scenic, in the middle of nature, surrounded by trees, plants and a bunch of chicken. Lalaine and Nina's friendliness and hospitality is second to none. They stayed in touch with me throughout my stay, helped me organize different activities, and accompanied me back to the ferry. My room was clean, with air con and fan. It is very convenient that Lalaine and Nina offer motorcycle rental, so you don't have to bother finding a place. I got a delicious Samal Pomelo on my breakfast table as a small welcome gift. The place is highly recommended!

I had an exceptional stay with Lalaine and Nina. the place is awesome, small house with all the amenities, surrounded by vegetation, very clean and cozy. an exceptional and very considerate welcome. Nina is always available to help and give advice for tours. 2 steps from the ferry pier, motorbike rental possible directly from Nina, everything is perfect I highly recommend you will not be disappointed.
