Maya “Amazing social hostel with beautiful facilities”

An amazing hostel - one of our favourites across Latin America. There is salsa every day, very social, great coffee with good deals, and we had a huge private room for a great price with terrace and en suite! The only slight downer was that someone (guest? Random?) tried the door then a volunteer knocked to enter our room while we were inside ‘just to see what it looked like’ because the guest ‘knew the owner’ and that made me uncomfortable. Otherwise a fabulous stay and lovely volunteers. Breakfast was simple and DIY but good!

Great vibes, very sociable, the best hostel coffee shop we’ve ever visited (and the coffee was cheap!), nice spaces to chill, and nice breakfast (I love cereal so was very happy). The free dance class was fun and a great way to meet people, and the private lesson was good too. Our private room was big and had a lovely balcony overlooking the city! Nice that we could store our bags in the common area before our night bus.

Quite possibly our favourite hostel of the trip so far! Rooms were big, clean and had outside space. Hostel facilities were lovely - good kitchen area and rooftop bar was cheap. To top it all off, free salsa lessons and breakfast. We were a bit worried about the safety of Cali before coming but we walked around as a group with no trouble during the day and took ubers at night which were really cheap.

Great vibe here. Very social and centric on salsa as you'd expect in Cali but people were extending their stays due to comfort and ease of being in Cali whilst staying at Palmera. Great views from my bedroom also!
