Victor “Small hotel with view of Pyramids”

We normally stay in ‘branded’ hotel accommodation, but on this occasion, we decided to stay with a small hotel with a view of the three biggest pyramids in Giza. We engaged Abdul, the owner, to be our guide and driver. It was the right decision (at additional cost). Cairo is a busy congested city and it was very helpful to have someone who accompanied us to the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, as he knew all the shortcuts and ways to skip the queues/use the VIP lane. His knowledge of Egyptian history was very good (he is the first university graduate in his family). His son Mohamed also helped out. They had very good English. A big advantage of having a local guide is, you don’t get hassled by people trying to get your custom. The hotel is near the GEM and the pyramids hence you will send less time in Cairo’s traffic. But you can’t walk there! The pyramids entrance is a long way away and long gone are the days that you can just walk across the desert, it’s all fenced with CCTV. There’s also an 8 lane motorway in the way. Our accommodation was on the 4th floor (he also has a 2 bed Airbnb on the 3rd). There is now a lift. He and his staff took care of all the luggage carrying. Breakfast was very good, with an omelette, really good falafels, salad, and fruit, tea and coffee, made to order. In the end we spent a little less than we would have in a ‘branded’ hotel but we had a better experience. We’d do it again!

We’ve been in 2rooms apartment what was nice, clean and spacious. View of the pyramids. Abdul and his family was so kind. We didn’t book any trip becacause he took me to the Pyramids, Saqqara-Dashur-Memphis and Alexandria. He is a really good guide, well-knowledgeable and he could answer the any questions.

Great location with views over the pyramids. Abdul, the owner, is an amazing man who will look after you so well. He takes care of everything if required and has great advice. The place is very clean and we are so glad we chose to stay here. We were allowed a late check out and given free lifts around Giza by Abdul. Highly recommend.

All the apartment had offered. Abdul and his family was so kind and generous and very attentive to all our requests. Breakfast in our balcony was generous with the view of the pyramids. Uber was also fantastic and was easy. Though the location was quite far from downtown we wanted to be closed to the pyramids and be in the middle of the city between giza and cairo. The apartment has elevator, hot shower, toiletries and refrigerator. They were very clean and aircondition hot and cold was working well.i recommend for safe stay, stay here.
