A Downtown location is hard to beat - close to Midan Talaat Harb, Midan Tahir, Sadat metro, Egyptian Museum etc.... Rooms are pretty fresh and clean. Some rooms have balconies.

If you want Cairo Downtown, this is it. Right on Talaat Harb, close to Tahir Square and Egyptian Museum. Just across the road is Cafe Riche (open during Ramadan), and as you step out the lift there's a coffee shop and a bar. Rooms are generally clean and fresh, some have balconies, and a simple breakfast is included.
