We recently stayed at the InterContinental Cairo Semiramis as a multi-generational family trip with kids and elderly members, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The hotel has a luxurious feel. While it is an older property, you can clearly see that efforts are being made to renovate and maintain it well. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, offering great variety for different tastes. The location is excellent—just a few minutes’ easy walk to Tahrir Square, which made getting around very convenient. We chose a Nile view room, and it was absolutely worth it—the views were stunning and added so much to our stay. What truly made this hotel special, though, was the staff. Their hospitality went above and beyond our expectations. They kindly upgraded our second room to a Nile view free of charge and allowed us a late checkout to accommodate our transport, which we really appreciated. The restaurant staff—both during the day and at night—were exceptional. A special thank you to Mr. Nashaet for taking such great care of us at breakfast, and to Chef Riyadh for making our dinner memorable and introducing us to authentic Egyptian cuisine. The lovely lady making bread ensured we always had it fresh and hot—such a thoughtful touch. Every member of staff was warm, welcoming, and always smiling, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back!
