This is an excellent hostel if you are looking to make friends. The bar area is very open and social and drinks are very cheap ($8 jugs at 4pm), pool table, smoking area, volleyball, lots of cool hangout spots and hammocks. The pool is lovely, I loved the floating beds, and it catches a lot of the sun, unlike some pools in other hostels. Staff on reception are very friendly, towels are provided free if you ask, bus service into town, bike rental etc. Food in the bar is delcious and reasonably priced. very near to the beach/esplanade for beautiful walk into town. Great value really.

It’s your standard youth hostel, you know how it is. Staff was friendly, the bar and pool area was cool. Shared kitchen was definitely too crowded at dinner. My girlfriend and I stayed for a single night, so we did not mind too much.
