The people here. Do not comment usually; but over the course of 10 days in Normandy; with so many less than honest hoteliers and some 'sketchy' experiences; this was not one. Indeed it it was my mistake in arriving a day earlier that was met with an admiral degree of help and reassurance. I managed to meet again and apologise to the lady manager the following day, which she graciously accepted. Also the agent Rachel helped me find a place for the extra night. Sadly it was another over priced underwhelming 'hotel' on Montgomery Ave. Like the namesake General; the Brit Hotel was over-rated and at 91 euro per night was double it's value.. However we had no choice at the time. Because Rachel was helpful, I made an extra effort to leave the keys in the proper way. In doing this, my phone dropped from my top pocket and wouldn't you know hit the concrete which broke the screen.. No big deal, when some of the major distresses of an elder traveller are overlooked or worse.
