The location was amazing. Could walk to Crummock or Buttermere in under 10 minutes and the views from the yurt were amazing. The swimming spot at Crummock was great and so quiet even in summer holidays. The yurt itself was spacious and comfy. Ear plugs were a welcome addition (for the noisy sheep). The kitchen hut have everything you’d need. Compost toilet was clean and handy right next to the yurts. It has a key so is only for the 2 yurts to use. The cafe do a breakfast pack that they deliver if you pre order the day before which was really good. Local pub was great. Lovely food and friendly staff. Fab beer garden.

The property has everything you will need for a comfortable glamping stay. A gas hob, kettle, cutlery, cups, plates, bowls, sharp knives, cool box, sink, tea towels, running water etc. firewood and lighter for internal fire (needed to light even though it’s summer.. gets very cold at night) the staff were happy to give more wood when we ran out. Beds were very comfortable and roomy. Complementary 50 pence pieces to use the toilets if we didn’t want to use our compost one. Scenery and location just beautiful and tranquil. A 10 minute walk along the brook to get to the lake.

Our recent stay at this remarkable campsite left us in awe of nature's splendor and the cozy charm of the hut we called home for a few days. Nestled perfectly between two breathtaking cascades, the location is nothing short of magical. Waking up to the soothing sounds of birds singing in the morning added an enchanting touch to our experience, making every moment feel like a harmonious retreat into nature. The hut itself was a delightful haven. The clear window positioned right in the middle of the hut was a brilliant feature, allowing us to gaze at the stars from the comfort of our bed. Each night, we were treated to a mesmerizing display of the night sky, making it a truly unforgettable experience. The combination of the serene environment, the proximity to the cascades, and the thoughtful design of the hut made our stay exceptional. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply looking for a tranquil escape, this campsite offers an unparalleled experience that we highly recommend. We left feeling rejuvenated and already dreaming of our next visit!

Location, beds, kitchen area, general feel of the yurt and decking area all wonderful. The solar charging was so useful.
