A wonderful stay. The room was spacious and spotless, with a large bathroom and a warm shower. Lovely outdoor terrace. Excellent location with a laid-back atmosphere. The jungle trek to see the orangutans was simply an amazing experience. The short walk to the village was truly special — a glimpse of local daily life along the river. Such friendly people. Last but not least, the entire staff were always ready to help with a big smile.

We highly recommend Cheeky Monkeys as comfy and quiet place to stay in Bukit Lawang. The family run site of Sarah and Agus makes you feel like a family member. Everyone is every helpful, friendly and will give you a smile. The accomodation is clean, bed was large and very comfortable, the room and the towels had a very nice scent. staff helped us with an express wash of our trekking clothes. We had 2 times dinner and breakfast. it was excellent. fresh and well cooked veggie with exotic spices. they offer kitchen classes: at out next visit we will defintly join! Sarah organised a tailormade trekking for us. my husband and me, a professionell guide by the national park team and his assistent. they adjusted the trek to our needs: we are not the fittest ones and the area is steep and sometimes muddy. with the help of our guides we always felt safe and finally saw 3 Orangs on a 4hrs trek. It was great experiences! Overall 5/5 stars! Thank you Cheeky Monkeys!

Very good place to stay if you want to do a tour to the jungle to see the Orang-Utans. People all very friendly and helpful and they organized everything for us for the trip. Also you can eat there (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and the food was very good! I can totally recommend that place.
