I really enjoyed my stay at Ecolodge Bukit Lawang. It’s on the pricier side, but perfectly situated and they offer some of the best tours to Gunung Leuser in town. Extraordinarily helpful staff. I can recommend Havidz as a guide (did the 2D1N tour with him).

The hotel is a moderate sized tourist hotel conveniently situated for wilderness trekking. The architecture of the restaurant is amazing.
