The food at the restaurant is good , but breakfast was at 08:30 which was too late for us. Sea is nearby. Beautiful, quiet town. Coastline is undisturbed. It is located between a highway and the old coastal road but you do not hear the highway at all , nor the nearby almost unused railway line. You are also not not bothered by the old coastal road.

Great hostel if you are walking el Camino. Good breakfast and nice dinner available on site. Very friendly staff. The place is really comfortable overall, but the beds could be better.

We wanted to specifically visit that location though visiting by car would be more comfortable. However, we were able to get a train there and back, as well as visit a neighbouring village using the RENFE/FEVE train service. The train station is a 20-minute walk though you do have to walk a bit on the side of main roads, so be careful! If you are doing the Camino de Santiago del Norte, you would pass this place, and we did see a few pilgrims during the visit. They also have a reasonably-priced restaurant, lovely-looking bar, kid friendly and the staff were VERY friendly, informative regarding the area and helpful. Although it is reasonably-priced and a good-looking location, the young staff should be especially commended for making our stay (wedding anniversary trip with the young fellow accompanying!) supercomfortable.
