Hotel Overview

Found 23 km east of Snæfellsnes National Park, this hotel offers bright, modern rooms with private bathrooms. WiFi and parking are free. Snæfellsjökull Volcano is within 20 minutes’ drive.
Hotel Búdir’s light, airy rooms have a TV, DVD player and hairdryer. Most have showers, while some include an in-room bathtub. Each room features glacier, lava fields or sea views.
Seafood and lamb dishes are served in the cosy dining room. The in-house wine expert has carefully chosen wines to suit the traditional Icelandic food.
Helicopter sightseeing trips, glacier hikes and whale watching can be arranged by Búdir Hotel. Ólafsvík is 22 km from Hotel Búdir, while Arnarstapi is 19 km away.

The loft rooms are the smallest rooms in the hotel located in the old wing of the hotel on the top floor. They are double rooms with a queen size bed. They are cozy attic rooms with a sloping ceiling.

Standard Double or Twin Room - enter dates to see room photos

Our Standard rooms are all double rooms, located in the old wing of the hotel. All have two separate beds made as king, but it is possible to make them as twin beds on request. Four of the standard rooms have bathtubs, the others have showers.

We have three spacious suites. On of the suites located in our old wing has a separate bedroom, a beautifully furnished living room and bathroom. The other two suites are located in our new part. They have open space with the sleeping part and living room part. All the suites are double rooms with the king size bed, with the possibility of adding up to two extra rollaway beds for an extra cost, so they can accommodate up to 4 people.

Our deluxe rooms are bigger and better furnished than the the standard rooms, located in the old wing of our hotel. All the deluxe rooms have either queen or king size bed and all except one have bathtubs. All our deluxe rooms are double rooms with possibility of adding the extra rollaway bed at additional cost, to make it triple.

Providing free toiletries and bathrobes, this twin/double room includes a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and a hairdryer. The spacious twin/double room provides a tea and coffee maker, a wardrobe, parquet floors, heating and a flat-screen TV. The unit offers 1 bed.

Stunning location and very nice interior design. Felt a bit like arriving to a safari lodge. Food was the best we had outside Reykjavík and the bartenders knew their trade. Loved that we got proper sram led eggs for breakfast and not the one made out of egg-powder (that unfortunately so many hotels still offer).

One of my absolute favorite hotels i have EVER stayed in !!! So so gorgeous, modern and the comfiest bed and pillows ever 😭 will truly be thinking about this hotel and it’s gorgeous location for the longest time, so so worth the price & drive ❤️
