This has to be the best, cleanest holiday home we have ever stayed in. The whole house was spotless and organised. Kitchen: well equipped with everything you could need. The complimentary tea, coffee and milk were a nice touch! Laundry: there's a washing machine and a drying rack in the house. You just need to bring your own detergent. The laundry room next door had dryers available. Bedrooms: lovely and comfortable! Pet friendly: the garden is fully enclosed with a high fence and lockable gate. We have 2 nervous dogs so this was important. The basket of doggy supplies were a lovely touch (towel, blanket, bowl, treats, bags, etc). There was even a hot water shower out front for muddy paws. Location: 10 mins from the beach and some good restaurants nearby for takeaway or eating out. 30 min drive from Tintagel as well! Other: there were 2 parking spaces available for Swallow's Nest just outside the door. The central courtyard also has a cute herb garden where you can help yourself! The house itself is beautifully decorated while being perfectly uncluttered at the same time. Host: Gemma is lovely! It is clear that she takes pride in Mill Barn and is very responsive to any questions/requests. The booklet they have put together detailing all you need to know to make the most of your visit, what is provided and what you need to bring, appliance booklets, etc were very useful!

Fabulous barn converted cottage with excellent attention to detail for all fixtures and fittings. Great location for beach access within walking distance and stunning surrounding area for walks in general. Would highly recommend this property to others for its location and character. The cafe at Widemouth beach serves excellent variety of food and drinks. We also ate at Widemouth Manor Hotel which is 2 mins from the property. The food was excellent quality and great service. Bude was a 10 mins drive and as it was bank holiday weekend and the 200th anniversary if the RNLI there was a free fireworks display on bank holiday Monday which rounded off a great weekend of activities in the town. Summerleaze beach was great fun for body boarding and sandcastle building and with the sea pool right next to it, it was a great experience. We didn’t actually meet the hosts during our stay but that just means we had everything we needed and didn’t need to call upon them for assistance. However all communication prior to our stay was helpful and nothing was a problem. We will be back!

The location is perfect for us, we’ve stayed previously and came back again due to this, plus the property is so well finished with exceptional cleanliness, and much higher quality than you’d expect for the price. The owners have done an amazing job of preparing this (and the other) properties. We highly recommend!
